Iliamna Development Corporation: Overview
Our Story
Iliamna Development Corporation (IDC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Iliamna Natives Ltd. (INL), an Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) corporation based in Iliamna. For over 23 years, IDC has been offering a range of services to clients, including bulk fuel services, heavy freight transportation from Homer via barge, construction services, heavy equipment rental, airport fueling operations, a general store, and Tuntu Cafe.
Bulk Fuel and Propane
IDC offers bulk fuel services including Jet A, heating fuel, unleaded, and Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel, as well as propane. In addition to our fuel offerings, IDC also provides construction services and heavy equipment rental. We transport all of our fuel via ISO tanks and can move it from Homer to your destination without transferring any fuel.
Iliamna Airport Operations and Fueling
IDC provides bulk fuel services, including Jet A and Avgas 100LL at PAIL Iliamna Airport, along with airport parking, hangar facilities, and FBO operations.
Barge Service
IDC offers seasonal barge service from Homer to Lake Iliamna and Lake Clark with two tugs and two barges, moving heavy construction materials, cement, and lumber, including lodge support items from Seattle. We also provide bulk fuel services to support these operations. The schedule is tide dependent, but it is predictable when we can operationally go, ensuring reliable construction services and heavy equipment rental options.
Construction
IDC offers a range of construction services, including road building, full lot development, and utility installs, alongside bulk fuel services and heavy equipment rental.
Gravel Products
IDC operates two permitted gravel pits that produce a variety of products, including road and airport sand, sewer rock, and road building materials such as crushed products.
Heavy Equipment
IDC offers a comprehensive fleet of heavy equipment rental located in Iliamna, which includes rock trucks, dump trucks, trailers, loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, cranes, and skid-steers with attachments.
Trucking
IDC offers a comprehensive fleet of trucks and trailers in Iliamna, which includes semi trucks and trailers, end dumps, side dumps, dump trucks, flats, chassis, and container trailers. This heavy equipment rental fleet can be utilized for various construction services, and all equipment can be barged to any location around the lake, ensuring efficient bulk fuel services as well.
Heavy Haul Trucking
IDC offers a comprehensive fleet of trucks and trailers in Iliamna, which includes semi trucks and flat deck trailers, end dumps, side dumps, dump trucks, flats, chassis, and container trailers. This heavy equipment rental fleet can be utilized for various construction services, and all equipment can be barged to any location around the lake.
IDC Store
IDC General Store operates a general store that features dry goods, produce and dairy, frozen items, lumber yard, and other various supplies, along with a Self Serve 24 hour gas station.
Tuntu Cafe
Additionally, the store includes the Tuntu Restaurant, which offers a coffee shop, ice cream, and a full menu of hamburgers and sandwiches.
